A wonderfully glossy candle varnish designed especially for making homemade candles with air-dry clay.
Apply on top of bone dry clay (2 - 3 days) with two coats, leaving 1-2 hours between each coat. Leave to set completely overnight before pouring your wax. Be sure to varnish both the inside and outside of your candle pot.
If you'd like to paint your candle pot with coloured acrylics, apply the colour first and then the varnish on top once the acrylic paint has dried completely.
Do not use our regular Sculpd gloss or matte varnish when creating candles.
If you already have a sculpd kit and would like to start making candles, you can buy extra clay here, and wax, fragrance oils and all the candle-making tools you'll need here.
Sustainability - This varnish bottle is made from 60% post-consumer waste (regrind from Biffa bins!)
